2011 Associate Club 4 Ball (2 Man Better Ball)

ELIGIBILITY: NCGA Associate Club members ONLY. Multi-members can only represent one club. No players under 18 years of age. A numeric handicap index listed on their club’s Master Report not to exceed 36.4 (men) or 40.4 (women) on the date of registration. NOTE: SIRS – One two-person team per area is eligible for sectional qualifying.

FORMAT: 18 holes Four-Ball (Two–Person Better Ball). Men will play from the BLUE tees and women will play from the WHITE tees. Play will be 90% (men) and 95% (women) of the course handicap using a maximum current index of 18.4. All players with indexes of 18.5 and higher are eligible but must play a maximum current index of 18.4. If partner’s course handicaps differ by more than 8 strokes, an additional 10 percent reduction will be applied to their course handicaps. The April 1, 2011 index will be used. SCORING UNFINISHED HOLES: If a player starts but does not complete a hole, his marker shall record an “X” followed by the score he most likely would have made. This score is for handicap purpose only and shall not exceed the Equitable Stroke Control limit for his/her course handicap.

NUMBER OF ENTRIES: Clubs are entitled, but not required, to submit a specific number of players based on their active golfing membership on their January 1 Master Report.

2011 ACC Information

Local Qualifying Dates: May 25 OR June 8, 2011. Sectional Qualifying: July 18 OR 19 2011 at Poppy Ridge GC. Entries: One four-person team per club. Entry Fee: $240 per team for local qualifying. 84 qualifying teams pay an additional $260 for one day of sectional qualifying. No additional fee for championship.
